About me

I am Valerio, a Senior Digital Product Manager in financial services by day. Outside of that I build AI agents and automations for my own life and help others do the same, through coaching and done-for-you builds.

I started building with AI because I wanted to solve real problems in my own life: a personal assistant that runs on Telegram, a finance tracker that answers questions in plain English, automations that handle things I used to do manually. I also help others do the same, through coaching calls and done-for-you builds.

By day I lead digital product at Ascot Lloyd, a UK wealth management firm, where my focus is on reducing manual steps through automation and making AI practical within regulated constraints. Before that, at Bionic, the UK's largest SME marketplace, I launched products used by tens of thousands of small businesses. That background shapes how I think about AI: not as a novelty but as a practical tool for getting things done.

Background

Product management

Nearly 10 years leading digital products in financial services, SME marketplaces, and conversion optimisation.

AI agents and automation

Building with Claude, Railway, and Neon. Real agents running in production, not demos.

Research background

MSc Digital Anthropology from UCL. I understand how people use technology, not just how to build it.

Writing

I publish occasional write-ups on what I build and how. The blog is where I share that work.

Something I built

Personal assistant

An assistant I built and use every day. It runs on Telegram on my phone, connects to my finances, calendar, and email, and gives me real answers in plain English. It categorises my bank transactions, tracks my budget, surfaces my most important tasks each morning, and escalates to a more capable model when the task needs it. There is also a web dashboard for a fuller view.
